Roz Chandler and Ali Conway are the driving force behind The Great British Flower School, bringing their passion, expertise, and commitment to sustainable floristry to every course.
Roz, a renowned flower farmer and educator, has dedicated years to championing British-grown flowers and eco-friendly techniques. Her no-nonsense approach makes learning floristry accessible and enjoyable for all. Ali, an accomplished floral designer with a wealth of experience, specialises in natural, foam-free arrangements that celebrate the beauty of seasonal flowers.
Together, they’ve created a learning space where anyone—whether a complete beginner or a seasoned florist—can develop their skills without jargon or pressure.
With Roz and Ali leading the way, The Great British Flower School is redefining floral education for a new generation of conscious creatives.

Flourish Online
The outmoded traditional floristry training model is no longer relevant in today’s world. You need to learn at your own pace and fit it in with other commitments. That’s where our online, supported learning programmes can really help. You need to find people that understand your particular situation and background. We have developed in-depth online training programmes to suit everyone - for YOU and YOUR level of experience.
Flourish at the Farm
We understand that for some of you, you’d prefer to get hands-on and have some time with us here at the farm. Field Gate Flowers is a busy working flower farm, but we have put together a range of options, for the most frequently requested on-site training. Join us here at the Clock house – our beautiful, cosy floral studio right here at the farm.
Flourish Community
Our FREE facebook membership group is a fabulous community of like-minded people, with a keen interest in sustainable floristry. We are particularly proud of this supportive group and the community spirit that we have encouraged. We post regular updates in the group, answer lots of questions, are there for support and advice - popping in for regular live chats.
